My fishing trip:  I would like to say that from the e mails back and forth from the owners Don and Lucy to the float plane trip, the company, the fishing,  the wonderful home cooked meals, and Don going above and beyond in fixing my totally smashed eye glasses exceeded my expectations and I shall be absolutely coming back again.   When you lose count of how many fish that you have caught and released by 10:30 AM, you know that you are living the dream of fabulous fishing.   Thank you so much Don and Lucy you made my trip memorable and I will certainly be coming back again and again. Don and Lucy:  My latest trip to Hearne Lake Lodge exceeded all of my expectations.  The weather was beautiful, the company most pleasant, and the fishing was out of this world.  If I didn't have photos as proof, it would be tempting to think I dreamed the whole thing.  There's no point to speculating on how many big fish we caught, because even a low estimate would be beyond belief to anyone who has not been there.  But the fact that my right arm and wrist are still a bit sore is a good indication of our success.  I'm torn between the urge to sing your praises and the desire to keep the whole thing secret as something that's just too good to share.  Maybe I can compromise by urging my friends to visit between June and August and keeping the September shallow-water fly fishing all to myself.  Hundreds of 3-8 pounders, big pike, Arctic Grayling and lake whitefish on a fly rod!  Who would believe it anyway?  And the great care that you take to see that every fish is released unharmed, ensures that the fishing will never be degraded.  You can be absolutely certain that I will be back.

Don and Lucy:  Thanks again for a GREAT time.. The weather got off to a poor start but each day got better and better, the fishing was good and your hospitality was outstanding.  You both look like you really enjoy what you do there to make your guests feel welcomed.  The food was excellent and your facilities (rooms, showers, boats) are well maintained and first class.  It's "just what the Doctor ordered" for a relaxing get away in the great NWT.  Thanks for showing us a great time.  I made some great memories and some new friends.  Hope to see you again.
